Engorged - devouring flowers
Munching on mushrooms
Honeycomb crumbling between my teeth.
The Garden gives up her first fruits
in gorgeous blooms and blossoms.
Wind wisteria vines about me
and bring out the beast of my body.
Paint my hooves
and hang daisy chains around my horns.
I'll sprout fur and plough furrows
step by careful step across sunlit soil.
It squelches warm and wet,
waiting to receive seeds and sun.
Bring me a bridle and yoke.
Tie my throat to the work of Heaven.
May the stars be the lash
that strikes me to action.
In labor and leisure,
living for the land.
